The room was poorly maintained with lots of issues. The tub faucet dripped throughout my stay, which was quite annoying. The walls were thin, allowing me to hear every noise from the hallway and neighboring rooms, making it hard to relax.

i loved my stay at howard johnson. the queen room was spotless and super comfy. walking downtown was a breeze! the coffee at breakfast was excellent, and i appreciated the seasonal outdoor pool for some fun. it’s always my go-to when visiting this area.

The room had air conditioning, a nice king mattress, and a private bathroom with a shower. It also had a desk, TV, and tea/coffee maker. The outdoor swimming pool was closed during my visit. Breakfast was simple, just some pastries and coffee. Great for a quick stay near downtown attractions.

The AC unit in my room struggled to cool, making for a bit of a sweaty wait at first. The advertised pool hours were misleading. it closed early, cutting short any chances for a swim after dinner. Additionally, while the room had surface cleanliness, it lacked a thorough detail-clean, with some noticeable dirt around the baseboards and neglected corners of the bathroom.

I really enjoyed my stay here, especially because of how close it is to the beautiful Wilson Park, just a short stroll away, and I loved that there's a great little spot called Chicano Boy across the parking lot for some tasty bites after a long day of exploring. also, the room was large and clean with a fun retro vibe which made it feel welcoming and homey.

The hotel offers a great value with its clean and comfortable rooms, and the friendly staff make the experience pleasant. However, the property does show its age with outdated decor and some maintenance issues, especially in the bathrooms. Breakfast could use improvement too.

I found the beds to be exceptionally comfy the linens were of good quality and soft. Plus, I was able to take the breakfast up to my room which was a nice little touch.
